The available meteorological data for the Belmont area at Lake Macquarie has been processed in two ways. Data has been extracted for the days between 28th December and the 8th January, and this data has been split into two parts that cover the likely periods of the morning and afternoon races.
This information is presented as wind roses for the morning and afternoon periods, showing the probabilities of wind strength range (knots and Beaufort Scale) and of wind direction.
Also presented is data showing the probabilities of the wind strength range occurring irrespective of the wind direction during the regatta days between 28th December and the 8th January.
